Using the Jefferson Scale of Empathy, researchers will establish a baseline for ETSU College of Nursing students as well as practicing nurses to determine if implementation of empathy-focused curricula makes an impact. The study aims to enhance the understanding of empathy within the nursing workforce and continuing education efforts aimed at supporting patient-centered care, nurse well-being, and workforce sustainability.
